Trademark Policy

“Protecting Our Identity, Advancing Our Mission”
As a global nonprofit dedicated to championing economic reform for the public good, Globalgood Corporation recognizes that its trademarks—names, logos, symbols, taglines, and brand expressions—are vital assets. These marks distinguish our work, reflect our mission, and represent the trust of a global community. This Trademark Policy outlines how our trademarks are to be used, safeguarded, and legally enforced to ensure consistency, credibility, and alignment with our global mission. It applies to all internal teams, partners, collaborators, vendors, licensees, and third parties.

1. Purpose

This Trademark Policy establishes the conditions under which Globalgood’s trademarks may be used and the responsibilities of those seeking to use them. It ensures that our marks are presented accurately and respectfully in both physical and digital environments, reinforcing the integrity of the Globalgood brand.

This Policy applies to all:

  • Internal staff and departments;
  • Contractors, consultants, and grantees;
  • Partners, affiliates, licensees, and collaborators;
  • Suppliers, service providers, and distributors;
  • Media, educators, and third parties referencing Globalgood.

It governs all uses of our trademarks, whether in marketing, education, research, co-branding, commercial activity, or public discourse.

3. Ownership of Trademarks

All trademarks, service marks, brand elements, trade names, taglines, logos, and trade dress (collectively, “Trademarks”) used in connection with Globalgood’s services, campaigns, technologies, or publications are the sole property of Globalgood or are licensed for its exclusive use. This includes but is not limited to:

  • The “GLOBALGOOD” name and stylizations;
  • Program titles and initiative marks;
  • Slogans, symbols, and other visual identifiers.

Any goodwill derived from the use of our Trademarks inures exclusively to Globalgood.

4. Permitted Use

Use of Globalgood’s Trademarks is permitted only when:

  • Authorized in writing through a license, brand agreement, or direct permission;
  • Used in accordance with published brand and identity guidelines;
  • Referenced in a factual, non-misleading, nominative fair use context (e.g., educational materials);
  • Properly attributed using the ® or ™ symbols as appropriate;
  • Accompanied by a disclaimer if necessary (e.g., “GLOBALGOOD is a registered trademark of Globalgood Corporation”).

All permitted uses must retain the integrity, clarity, and distinctive nature of the Trademarks.

5. Prohibited Use

Without express written consent from Globalgood, the following uses are strictly prohibited:

  • Use that misrepresents, dilutes, or creates confusion about Globalgood’s identity;
  • Incorporation of Trademarks into domain names, URLs, handles, metadata, or SEO keywords;
  • Modification, distortion, or imitation of Trademarks in any form;
  • Use in any disparaging, defamatory, or unlawful context;
  • Endorsement or sponsorship implications not authorized by Globalgood;
  • Combination with third-party trademarks or content that alters our brand presentation.

Unauthorized use may constitute trademark infringement and will be addressed accordingly.

6. Licensing and Co-Branding

Any commercial use, promotional partnership, white-labelling, or co-branded initiative involving Globalgood Trademarks must be governed by a written agreement. This agreement will define:

  • Specific Trademarks authorized;
  • Fields and limitations of use;
  • Quality control and brand integrity requirements;
  • Duration, termination rights, and enforcement provisions.

Globalgood reserves the right to review, approve, or revoke any trademark use at its sole discretion.

  • Cease and desist notices;

We also collaborate with online platforms, regulators, and law enforcement to protect our brand globally.

8. Reporting Infringement

If you become aware of actual or potential misuse, infringement, or counterfeiting of Globalgood Trademarks, we encourage you to report it with relevant details (e.g., screenshots, URLs, date of incident). Please contact us to submit such reports.

9. No Implied Rights or Waivers

Nothing in this Policy grants, by implication or otherwise, any right to use Globalgood Trademarks without prior written authorization. Failure to enforce any part of this Policy does not constitute a waiver of rights.

Globalgood will pursue all available remedies to protect the value and reputation of its brand.

12. Changes and Updates

Globalgood may revise this Trademark Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements, brand strategy, or operational practices. Any updated version will be made publicly available on our official website and clearly marked with the effective date. We encourage all stakeholders—including partners, licensees, and third parties—to review the most current version regularly to ensure compliance. Continued use of our Trademarks following any update will be deemed acceptance of the revised Policy.
